Digikeijs DR5088RC – DigiDetect 16 channel RailCom feedback module with occupancy detection
The Digikeijs DR5088RC DigiDetect 16 channel RailCom feedback detector is a 16 channel feedback module with occupancy detection and (per input) RailCom Channel 1 address reporting. The module also includes a global RailCom detector for each booster which this module is connected to, if needed this can be deactivated for command stations with built-in RailCom detection. All information from the DR5088RC is transported via the LocoNet bus, with firmware updates possible over a USB connection. This module is fully programmable over LNCV or USB.

The feedback address can be set per detector. The power supply of the DR5088RC comes directly from the DCC track power and does not require any external power supply, which helps to keep costs down.
Occupancy detection
An occupancy detector is a system that detects whether blocks of track are occupied by trains or not. An occupancy detector can take different forms, for example through power flow (current sensing) or other methods using sensors such as reed switches or hall switches. The occupancy detector can also be operated through switch rails, with a reed relay, through ground detection or through light barriers. If a section is occupied, this is detected by the occupancy detector. Here often refers to the electronics through which power consumption is detected. It can also indicate whether there is a power consumer on the track. So, buy your occupancy detector as soon as possible so that you can see if there are any occupied sections!
Updating the DR5088RC
The firmware for the DR5088RC can be updated via a USB connection. The DR5088RC is also programmable via LNCV or USB. This makes it easy to update the DR5088RC through multiple connections.
