A very useful tool to have on any workbench, ModelTech’s newest product the 4 claw part picker has certainly been used quite a lot recently in our own workshop. It’s a very handy tool to remove loco body screws without loosing them, or worse still – sticking to the motor magnet!

A very useful tool to have on any workbench, ModelTech’s newest product the 4 claw part picker has certainly been used quite a lot recently in our own workshop. It’s a very handy tool to remove loco body screws without loosing them, or worse still – sticking to the motor magnet!
The claws have a positive grip on most screws and small components – but beware smaller N scale loco body screws can be pulled back inside the tool if the pressure is released fully (it will fall out though so not a major issue). The part picker is made from a lightweight aluminium with an annodised blue finish, knurled ends for extra grip and stamped in white with ModelTech’s logo at the centre of the barrel.
Supplied in a lovely plastic presentation box, the clear lid can also double up as a screw tray making sure you know exactly where you put that screw…
